The original pastel was inspired by a picture of my sister and her husband walking from their home to Lourdes (500 miles!) with a donkey pulling the 3 kids!
This hug was the moment they arrived at Lourdes! Maybe Joseph and Mary had the same emotion when they arrived at Bethlehem!
